BTECH received institutional recognition from CHED
By Felina Gail MarBALIWAG, BULACAN – On August 24, 2020, Baliwag Polytechnic College (BTECH) officially became institutionally recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), guaranteeing that the college students will continue to receive free education from BTECH under Republic Act 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.
The institutional recognition was issued upon compliance with all the requirements under Commission en Banc Resolution no. 564-2020 and the Certificate of Program Compliance for all the College’s program offerings.
The certification itself was personally awarded by CHED Chair Dr. Prospero de Vera to BTECH College President Dr. Emiterio L. Tiburcio and College Administrator Atty. Robert John I. Donesa on January 22, 2021 during the Gawad Parangal Award Ceremony at the Valencia Hall in Bulacan State University.
BTECH was one of only 12 higher education institutions in region III to be recognized at the said event. Among those in attendance were the Bulacan Polytechnic College, City College of Angeles, City College of San Fernando, Eduardo L. Joson Memorial College, Gordon College, Guagua Community College, Mabalacat City College, Norzagaray College, Pambayang Dalubhasaan ng Marilao, Polytechnic College of City of Meycauayan, and the Polytechnic College of Botolan.
