PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Course is designed to meet the preparatory needs of would-be professional teachers for elementary schools. The students are provided with general education knowledge and skills, theories on teaching and learning, teaching methods, experiential knowledge, professional and ethical values needed for elementary school teaching. The program has a general education component to train student teachers in teaching all the elementary school subjects.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Upon completion of this course, the graduate will be able to:
- Take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and are eligible to teach in private and public basic education primary and intermediate schools.
- Work in other education-related fields involving tutoring, Textbook Writing / Developing of Modules or Instructional Materials, and education research.
- Pursue Master of Arts in Education or Master of Arts in Teaching as their graduate studies degree.
