FOREWORD
The Baliwag Polytechnic College, guided by its vision of establishing an institution of learning founded on the principle of social justice, sustainable development, peace, and unity, presents this handbook to its students to help them be guided in their studies in the College. This handbook delineates the policies and guidelines that its students need to know and understand while they are in the College, including their rights, duties, and obligations.
Every Baliwag Polytechnic College student is assured that the College pursues, in particular, the enhancing of academic excellence in order for its students to achieve global competence. This is done through periodic review and updating of its program offerings and continuous faculty development activities.
INSTITUTIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Guided by belief in God and humanitarian principles, the Baliwag Polytechnic College adheres to the state policy of promoting the right of all citizens to affordable quality education.
VISION
As an institution committed to its service to society and to its contribution to nation building, the Baliwag Polytechnic College envisions itself to:
Be at the forefront of the community’s desire to motivate its people to pursue knowledge and awareness of the importance of education to the youth;
strive to be the driving force behind the transformation of people towards creating social order in accordance with their aspirations of being given their just share of material wealth; and
Maintain through education the heritage of history and culture in the minds of the people, combined with the resources of technology as it remains rooted in the nation’s ideals and abreast with the current demands of international society.
MISSION
The Baliwag Polytechnic College dedicates itself to provide relevant and updated quality educational development to the underprivileged youths of Baliwag and the neighboring towns.
OBJECTIVES
The Baliwag Polytechnic College poses to achieve the following objectives:
- To ensure the alignment of the plans, programs and activities of the different academic departments and offices with the vision-mission and objectives of the College and its thrusts;
- To infuse the culture of research, community services, peace, information technology, and skills training and development in the curricula of all programs offered by the College as prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Education, and the Technology Education and Skills Development Administration.
To integrate the Baliwag Polytechnic College core values in all activities of the administrators, faculty, students and staff.
