TESDA-Bulacan Distributes Starter ToolKits to BTECH UAQTEA Scholars
By Joanna Marie Baloloy Orbe
The provision of starter TOOLKITS is one of the major components of Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) scholarship programs of Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA). Its main objective is to ensure that the UAQTEA graduates could immediately engage in productive self-employment and/or entrepreneurial activities upon completion of their training.
Thus, on November 22, 2021; TESDA-Bulacan awarded its Baliwag Polytechnic College (BTECH) UAQTEA Year 2020 graduates with Starter Toolkits. Smart tablets and waiter’s corkscrews were awarded to Food and Beverage Services (FBS) NCII scholars and pen-tablets and SDD enclosures to Visual Graphics Designs (VGD) NCIII scholars.
Mr. Leo Calonzo (TESDA-Bulacan Scholarship Coordinator), Mr. Alvin Q. Ayson (TESDA-Bulacan Admin Support Staff), Atty. Robert I. Donesa (BTECH College Administrator), and Hon. Ferdie V. Estrella (LGU Baliwag Mayor) were in the event to preside the distribution of starter toolkits. Some government officials were also in the event to show their tireless support for BTECH TESDA Programs.
LGU-Baliwag and BTECH, in partnership with TESDA, have high hopes that the said toolkits will be of great help to the recipients, and that they will prevent the items from deterioration and loss.
